The Grass-type seems to be affected by the weather more than most Pokemon due to its closeness with nature, powering up under intense sunlight or even heavy rain. However, its strongest moves have severe drawbacks, notably Leaf Storm, Wood Hammer, Petal Dance, Solar Beam, and Frenzy Plant. The Fire-type may not survive for long in battle, but if it doesn’t faint, it will handle many opponents very well. The Water-type is capable of learning Ice-type moves to counter a Grass-type, leaving only Electric-types as a threat. With balanced offensive and defensive stats, a Water-type is extremely useful to deal with common cavernous Rock-types, the Elite Four’s Dragon-types, as well as getting through areas using Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, or Dive.
